Home Again

I had such a wonderful time in New York with Inky, but at last it was finally time for me to go home.

Why is it that nothing seems to fit when you pack it up to come home? It all fits fine when you pack to go there!
"

I waved goodbye to Inky. I hope that I see her again soon! Do you have any friends who live far away?

Visiting is fun, but coming home again is always one of the best parts. I missed my room - but now I have more fun things to put in it to remind me of the time I spent back East!

I pinned my Junior Ranger badge onto my bulletin board..

Put the awesome stuffed panda bear Inky bought for me at the zoo on my shelf...

And my ugly doll found a new home on my bed!

And I get to wear the shirt I got at my favorite place we visited - American Girl Place New York!

Life seems quiet after all of the fun things I have been doing, but it's nice to have some quiet time. Right now I'm going to snuggle up, relax, and read Meet Cecile - remember how I got her for Christmas?

  1. I am sure it is great to be home, I always love coming home after being gone awhile. It is hard to leave your friend or wherever you are visiting because you have fun there, but home is just a nice place to be.

Glad that you were able to have some fun visiting Inky.

    Take care,
    Taryn

  2. Salut, Piper!
I'm sure you had a blast with Inky, but I understand how you feel. It is always great to be home and sleep in your own bed. Don't get me wrong- I love traveling and spending time with friends as much as anyone, but there is nothing like the comforts of home.

  4. Welcome home, Piper! I'm glad you made it home safely. I've had a lot of downtime lately myself, and while it's nice, it just feels so weird. I've been so used to being on the go all of the time that I'm a little restless. I want to go out and have another adventure, though that's not possible right now. :/

Let me know how you like Meet Cécile! I'd really like to read it someday. I don't know if I have room for another book on my bookshelf, though. It's really packed. Funny how books just seem to accumulate even when you don't realize it!
